Jennifer Pitchers

I am an illustrator and artist living in Suffolk, since graduating from Camberwell College of Arts with a degree in Illustration.  Born in 1985 to British and Filipino parents, I explore themes of belonging, purpose and desire. I use drawing, painting and printmaking in condensed pockets of time between child rearing responsibilities (and the rest!), endeavouring to make external my persistent internal scrimmages. In this way the work becomes impulsive, deliberate and emotionally imperative. I find drawing it out makes a clearer visual narrative for me to make sense of myself, which in turn takes me closer to compassionate, fuller living.
